We’ve made some calendar changes...

At this forum, we want to focus on the issues that matter to the entire voluntary sector.

So instead, your regularly scheduled Voluntary Sector Forum (Tuesday 6 February on your calendar) will be replaced by two special (and free!) themed sessions on the dates outlined above.

The context: in May 2018, new regulations come into force intended to give individuals greater control over how organisations use their data.

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will affect how organisations work with data and look after this valuable information. The new laws are more detailed and carry the potential for hefty financial penalties.

Whatever type of organisation you may be, if you process personal data you will need to be GDPR compliant. This would include anyone within an organisation that handles or processes the personal data of staff, service users, beneficiaries, volunteers, customers, members and supporters.

We are delivering two short introductory sessions to help you grasp the basics of this. They will be:

Thursday 15 February, 2018 (11am - 1pm)

Wednesday 21 February, 2018 (2pm - 4pm)

Click 'Register' to RSVP to this event.
