Voluntary Sector Forum March 2014
Friday, 14 March 2014 from 10:00 to 13:00
Lincolnshire, United Kingdom
Free quarterly networking event for any voluntary or community sector organisations. Hear from topical speakers, share news with other groups and discuss ideas over lunch.
The theme for March is health and wellbeing. With all the recent changes to health service structures and greater emphasis on meeting local needs in health provision, our speakers include representatives from:
- Healthwatch Lincolnshire - set up to help local people get the best out of their local health and social care services, this is your chance to find out what it is, who it’s for and how it will work.
- South West Lincolnshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) - its role in the commissioning of local health provision, and what this means for local organisations who provide health-related services.
- POhWER, provider of the NHS Complaints Advocacy Service - a free, independent advocacy service that helps people through the complaints process by providing information, advice, guidance and qualified advocates to support people where needed.
- United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust - ULHT is working towards becoming an NHS Foundation Trust and would like to invite patients, the public, and organisations to be a part of that process. Find out more about how you can influence the Trust's development.
This forum will be followed by an afternoon masterclass on the subject of Hate Crime and Social Cohesion (to be booked separately).
Parking is available in the Eastgate car park (near the council offices and The National Centre for Craft and Design)
