Volunteer at Pelican Parcels

You are invited for a warehouse tour 11am till 1pm on Monday 13th October.
Come along to our warehouse to see what volunteering at Pelican Parcels involves. I'll be showing you around the warehouse and will explain what goes into supporting the families referred to us. You will have the opportunity to chat to other volunteers and staff, get a thorough insight into what we do and see if volunteering with us would be right for you.
We are then able to offer training on Mondays for 4 weeks after which we will have a check-in and see how to proceed. At this point you will have the option to change to another day if preferred. Our warehouse is open Monday - Thursday 10am - 2pm and we love it if regular volunteers can commit to a 4 hour session.
A core part of what we do is sift and sort through clothing donations. We have to ensure these items are in excellent condition, and that the families receiving them don't feel as if they are just getting a handout, but rather a gift. At the moment this is where we need the most support and is the volunteer role we can offer.
