About this event
During this evening we will be sharing more information about the opportunities to volunteer as part of the Rediscovering the River Colne project.
As the weather warms, and wildlife begins to florish on the banks of the Colne, there's no better time to come find out how to get involved!
The evening will consist of a brief recap of the project and its aims, alongside a run- through of currently available options for volunteering and where these are, whether this is one-off opportunities or more regular opportunities for those who can commit to more time.
We will be discussing:
- Riverfly (invertebrate) sampling, Outfall monitoring, Non-native invasive species (NNIS) monitoring, Water Chemistry, Externally run fish surveys
- Other ways in which you can get involved both this year and in the future!
There will be staff from Tasty Bean around to serve hot and cold soft drinks (see menu here) on the night, but no prepared food will be available to order. If you know what you may like on the evening, please do specify on the Eventbrite order page.
