Recruiting, supporting and retaining volunteers with additional support needs

This forum session focuses on successful engagement of volunteers with additional support related to physical disabiltiy, mental health and/or learning needs or development conditions.

The forum will offer you an opportunity to find out more about supported volunteering, ask questions and share good practice to enable you to successfully develop your volunteering programme.

At the session will we will be joined by Warren Sharp, Work Placement and Volunteer Coordinator at Outlook Foundation.
Warren will lead be talking about the model that Outlook Foundation use to work collaboratively with organisations and individuals to ensure volunteering is valuable for volunteers and organisations. You will have the opportunity to look at and try out some of their accessible tools.

The session will begin at 10.00am with the opportunity to network and connect with other volunteer coordinators.

Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided.

Our volunteer coordinators’ forum brings together people who manage volunteers. It’s a great way to stay up to date with and learn about best practice around volunteer management, to benefit from peer support, and to network with other volunteer coordinators.
