Volunteer Coordinators' Forum

Volunteer Coordinators' Forum

By Spark Somerset

Overview

A gathering for volunteer coordinators to share ideas, resources, and best practices in managing volunteers effectively

Volunteer Coordinators are often the sole person within their organisation with responsibility for volunteers.

We invite you to join us at our Volunteer Coordinators’ Forum for the opportunity to meet people with a similar role, network, and share peer support.

This session will focus on hate crime awareness, with a session led by Chase Mnatzaganian from SARI that will equip attendees with:

  • A better understanding of how the Equality Act 2010 supports protected characteristics
  • Confidence in using appropriate language to lead inclusive conversations
  • An understanding of how to identify hate crimes vs hate incidents
  • Knowledge of the challenges and barriers victims face in reporting
  • Confidence in reporting hate crimes/incidents

Tickets to this event are freely available to anybody who manages or coordinates volunteers in Somerset, whether in a paid or voluntary capacity.
