Description

Welcome to join University of Liverpool Confucius Institute to compete in the 2017 Dragon Boat Race. Our team will race against teams from University of Manchester, Lancaster University, University of Central Lancashire, Edge Hill University, University of Leeds, and University of Sheffield.

Time & Venue of the Race: 10:30am to 4:30pm, Saturday 6 May at Helly Hansen Watersports Centre, 15 the Quays, Salford, Manchester. Transport and food on the day will be provided.

Training Session: 2:30pm to 4:30pm, Wednesday 3rd May at Liverpool Watersports Centre at Queens Dock, Liverpool.

An optional session of Cultural Workshop will be organised from 3:30pm to 4:30pm on Wednesday 26th April at Liverpool Confucius Institute to help volunteers and those who are interested to learn more about Dragon Boat Festival, an important traditional festival in China and some other Asian countries, which is also among UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

Please join us to represent the University and take part in what's sure to be a thrilling cultural event. No prior rowing experience is needed.
