Volunteer Management Panel Discussion
Tue 4 April 2017, 10:00 – 12:30 BST
Welcome to the first Scottish Community Fundraising Special Interest Group event of 2017!
We will be hosting a lively panel discussion about recruiting, retaining and managing volunteers for one-off and ongoing voluntary roles and how this has been achieved in different charities in Scotland.
The panel consists of fundraising professionals with a wealth of experience who will each bring something different to the discussion:
Kirsten Graham: Corporate and Events Fundraising Manager, Erskine
Susan van Horen: Volunteer Co-ordinator, Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home
Sue has managed volunteers for a number of different charities including Cornerstone, Kilbryde Hospice and more recently a support service for the elderly in North Lanarkshire. She joined the team at Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home in September 2016 and has taken on the development of their volunteering programme. She feels passionately about volunteers and what they can bring to any charity.
Jackie Brown: Volunteer Development Officer, RSPB
Tea and coffee will be served at 10am, with our speakers starting at 10.30am. There will be a networking lunch afterwards, which all attendees are very welcome to come along to.
You can join the Scottish Community Fundraising Special Interest Group for £20 per annum (IoF members), £60 per annum (non-IoF members), after which, all SIG sessions and social events are free to attend.
Alternatively, you can pay for each session you attend (maximum of 2 per year): £5 (IoF members), £10 (non-IoF members).
Payment for attendance at the session or for SIG membership will be taken on the door. All IoF members should bring along their membership card or a note of their membership number.
Please send any questions about the event to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
We look forward to seeing you there!
