Mosaic have a wealth of experience in using a creative approach to delivering training. Mosaic Creative are committed to using the visual and performing arts in providing fun and accessible training and resources.
This short training series of three half day workshops seeks to strengthen the skills and understanding of volunteer managers so that they become confident and competent in their role. The workshops work as stand-alone sessions or you may wish to attend two or all three as a series.
The workshops are accompanied by a comprehensive guide to managing volunteers specifically written and cartoon illustrated for this programme.
This workshop focuses on valuing volunteers and volunteer development. We will equip volunteer managers with skills and tools for retaining and developing volunteers.
Once you have recruited a good team of volunteers, the next challenge is to hold on to them for as long as possible! While volunteers give up their time with no expectation of reward, it is important that volunteer-involving organisations thank and recognise volunteers for the contribution they have made.
Saying thank you, and recognising particularly committed or innovative volunteer contributions also helps to maintain morale and ensures volunteers feel supported. Volunteers who feel appreciated and supported are more likely to stay with your organisation and continue to contribute.
This workshop will cover:
- Strategies for retaining volunteers
- Inducting volunteers
- Stages of volunteer development
