About this event

Charity & Causes • Environment

Ragwort is living it's best life in a beautiful grassland in Cushendall, and it's got to go! Ragwort is classed as a noxious weed and presents a poison risk to some animals, such as horses. We plan to remove the Ragwort to allow us to cut and bale the grassland for farm use at the end of the summer as part of the grassland management plan.

We're asking for volunteers to assist in removing the Ragwort by hand for disposal. Ragwort pulling is pretty straightforward but we have a good area to cover and so need some help.

All equipment will be provided, as well as a cuppa afterwards.

The nature of the work is unsuitable for small children, ages 16 and up would be best.

This project is supported by PEACEPLUS, a programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB).
