About this event
Volunteering at Uncle Pauls Chilli Charity farm is an enriching and grounding experience that connects you to both nature and community. Each day brings something new—from tending to rows of vegetables, Chillies and carefully weeding beds to hammering together a chicken coop or giving the barn a fresh coat of paint. The work is hands-on and physical but immensely satisfying. It’s not just about growing plants; it’s about cultivating resilience, generosity, and patience. The Charity supports socially disadvantaged individuals; the setting provides a supportive culture where individuals can develop self-belief and confidence and feel part of a community.
You may also get to spend time looking after the animals. Whether its laying a new bed or refilling troughs for goats, you feel a sense of stewardship that transcends the chores. There's beauty in the rhythm of farm life: the crunch of gravel under boots, the earthy scent of compost, the satisfied bleats of content goats.
Beyond the tasks, volunteering here fosters camaraderie with fellow volunteers and staff. You swap stories over shared lunches and learn from people of all backgrounds. It’s a place where skills are built and souls are nourished. You leave tired but fulfilled, knowing your time has contributed to a space that nurtures life, supports those in need, and brings joy to visitors—furry, feathered, and human alike.
