About this event

Volunteering can be a great way of trying something new, building confidence and enhancing your employability.

People volunteer for all sorts of reasons, including:

  • wanting to meet new people and make friends
  • seeing it as a way to learn new skills (e.g. communication and teamworking skills) and to develop self-confidence, to boost their CV and improve job prospects
  • wanting to find out if they are suited to a particular area of work
  • needing to gain relevant experience (and perhaps a suitable qualification) to help with applications for jobs or training courses for a particular career, e.g. social work, counselling or nature conservation
  • having a strong commitment to a cause - such as protecting the environment

Aside from the above, volunteering can improve mental health and wellbeing as well as end social isolation.

Come to our webinar to find out:

  • where to find volunteering opportunities
  • the ways that volunteering can help you
  • the types of volunteering opportunities available - you will be amazed at the range of activities possible, including helping with fundraising, supporting people with learning difficulties, environmental & nature conservation and many more.

Webinars are delivered via Microsoft Teams
