Virtual Reality (VR) allows users to immerse in an artificial world, while Mixed Reality (MR) merges the real and virtual worlds to produce new environments where physical and digital objects can co-exist and interact in real time.

Who is this event for?

Any company in the construction sector interested in using VR/MR to improve the design and construction process within their projects.

There will be:

An overview of VR/MR technology

Demonstration of VR/MR workflow in design and construction process

Opportunities to implement VR/MR technology in your company with the support of the University's specialists


Speakers:

Professor Song Wu
Song is the Associate Dean of Teaching and Learning and Professor of Surveying and IT in the School of Art, Design and Architecture at University of Huddersfield. He is an expert in computer modelling and simulation in built and human environment.

Dr Ling Ma
Ling is a Lecturer in the School of Art, Design and Architecture at University of Huddersfield. His research focuses on computing in civil and infrastructure engineering. He has acquired much research experiences in Building Information Modelling, Data Mining, remote sensing, computer vision, agent-based simulation and VR/MR development.
