About this class

We will take a walk through the first year of running business, from formation to first year reporting, looking at the common mistakes and also learning what works well.  We will consider the tax requirements of running a business including VAT and corporation tax, and also the challenges around employing your first member of staff.  We will also touch on common early funding sources, and think about what good looks like for the day to day running of a company.

This masterclass will include knowledge sharing from other successful high growth businesses, and will use the content from our own market research into the common traits of highly successful businesses.

The class will include open discussion and a chance to get advice from the team and peers on the course.  The content will be designed to deal with the practical day to day requirements for businesses, and will be relevant and helpful for the day to day challenges you may face.

About the Instructor
Mark heads of BDODrive, a service which brings the expertise from one of the leading global firms of accountants to help companies make it happen.  He has worked with companies ranging from early startups looking for help in building their vision, through to more established businesses needing a sounding board or specific help with the day to day of doing business.  His team deliver help companies with the day to day laws and regulations, and also advise on growth strategies including international expansion or future exit.

Mark has also led the strategy for his own business, which has included people transformation and early adoption of new technology.  He has also led business transformations in industry advising on pricing strategies, contractual negotiations and outsourcing.
