Event description
YorCyberSec is hosting a talk around vulnerability and patch management. The talk will cover why it is important and how it can be achieved.

About this Event

YorCyberSec is a Cyber and Information Security Brokerage . We take time to engage and understand the projects and requirements we get involved with.

Using a network of consultants, testers, solutions and service providers we have been able to work with businesses on projects ranging from penetration testing and security awareness training through to virtual CIO and compliance projects.

Telefonica is one of the UK's largest IT and telecoms companies. It is the second-largest mobile network operator with over 25.1 million subscribers.

This talk is around a common theme when talking with some of our customers and contacts, vulnerability and patch management.

This is seen as one of the basics for maintaining a secure infrastructure and environment but is often over complicated and misunderstood.

Talking at this session will be two professionals who do this every day, and are doing it on a big enterprise scale.

Aidan Siney - Risk and Compliance Manager at Telefonica

Managed to get the patching to 100% up to date within his environment, and now leading a team setting the standard within Telefonica.

Bulbul Das - IT Security Architect at TCS

Organises and delivers vulnerability scanning and remediation for enterprise networks.

They will be covering the starting points, how they organise and prioritise and what has and has not worked for them.
