Vulnerability, Gender and Power
When I became authentic to myself, when I finally let my feminine heart become all I was, I was filled with a rush of power that has never left me. But to arrive at this I had to become without protection, I had to step outside of the safety of my masculine mask, which left me utterly vulnerable, unprotected. Counter-intuitively, this brought me a sense of my authentic self and my own power, despite taking on a feminine identity, which I feared would diminish my personal power in the world. But the power of my inner Self was far stronger.
This experience is the essence of this Dialogue. It's about having a taste of being outside of the confines of thinking I am a woman, a man, trans, gay, lesbian, or any other imagined identity that we hold. Without the masks of gender we wear is the vulnerability that is simply how we are, and within it is our own power, our authentic Self.
This Dialogue is useful for anyone who has ever felt the constraint of being a woman, a man, trans, gay, lesbian or more in this world of ours.
