Event description

Description

As part of his World Poets series, Graham Fawcett is bringing us his unique take on WH Auden.

'Auden was a giant among poets of his generation, a master-craftsman of metrical rhythms you can feel running like Swiss clockwork through his verse lines, and a wonderfully adventurous organist of the English language.'

The Crypt is a great venue, uncrypt-like in that it is airy and spacious. St Margaret's church is an amazing Arts and Crafts building, beautifully frescoed. It will be possible to visit it during the interval. The Crypt is fully accessible, its entrance is via a ramp or stairs on the Brandram Road side. There is a lift to the main body of the church.

Refreshments will be available on arrival and during the interval.
