7 November 2019Dear Student Presentation Evening Wednesday 18 December 2019I am pleased to invite you and your family to our Presentation Evening, which will take place from 18.00 on Wednesday 18 December 2019. I do hope you will be able to come and celebrate your recent examination achievements and that you will be able to bring your parents or other relatives to share in the occasion. You will receive your summer examination certificates at this ceremony and we are really looking forward to seeing you and sharing in your success. The evening is a prestigious event for the School and is held in the Sports Hall in order to accommodate the large numbers of people that attend. Should you wish to attend, along with any guests it will be important that request a ticket by Monday 16 December 2019 to register your attendance. It is also an occasion when we present prizes to students for outstanding achievement across a range of criteria. These will be announced on the evening. It may help if I explain a little of the format of the evening:On arrival at 18.00 there will be a welcome reception in the Main Hall, which will give you the opportunity to meet up with friends and staff in an informal setting. At 18.30 parents will then make their way to the Sports Hall and students will be asked to remain in the Main Hall. Former Year 13 students will then proceed to the Yellow Zone Forum Stairs and former Year 11 students to the Green Zone Forum Stairs. Once everyone is ready you will then proceed to the Sports Hall together. The evening should be finished by 19.45.This is a formal occasion and I am sure you will wish to dress accordingly. We look forward to seeing you on 18 December – I hope you will be able to attend.Yours sincerely						Tom Bartlett					Principal If you are unable to attend, you can collect your certificates in person directly from the School after Presentation Evening by contacting the Exams Office. Certificates cannot be sent through the post or released to relatives or friends unless you provide written consent and they show photographic ID. 24 hours’ notice is required. Certificates that are not collected will be retained by the school until 31 August 2020 following which they will only be available from the relevant Examination Board who will charge for the service.
