This event will highlight key challenges local SME’s face when developing export strategies as well as those at the very beginning of their exporting journey!

This FREE event is a real opportunity for those new to, looking to start in and/or those businesses looking to take their exporting to the next level!

The event will be compèred by Rosi Newman, Project coordinator, Research and Enterprise Services, Leeds Beckett University.

Rosi works on two European funded projects, both aimed at developing export opportunities between UK businesses and overseas partners.

The Compete In project is looking for Wakefield businesses who are either currently exporting or interested in finding out what export opportunities exist. Recent research at the university has identified a number of global best practices that we want to introduce in the Wakefield region, with the aim of increasing export and business growth. Not only does this give excellent support to businesses, but also aims to influence regional policy-makers through this collaboration.
