Wakefield District Culture Grants - Information Session
Date and time
Location
Online event
This free online session will update you on the four new grant streams for cultural investment across Wakefield District.
About this event
Jenny Rogers, the Cultural Development Manager at Wakefield Council, will be leading the session and answering your questions about the grants.
Wakefield Council's new grants will support professional creative individuals and organisations, as well as community groups, supporting the diverse cultural landscape of Wakefield to flourish, particularly as we build towards Year of Culture 2024.
There are four grant streams available for arts, cultural and heritage activity:
- Culture Everywhere Micro Grants – for community groups, charities, CICs, and other non-culture organisations to run small arts and culture projects, activities, and events for their local communities
- Made in Wakefield Small Grants – for short term projects, with a focus on providing support quickly to artists and creative organisations.
- Made in Wakefield Large Grants – for significant new creative work, or larger participatory project with communities, that may have longer term impact.
- Culture for Everyone Grants - to enhance the accessibility offer and provision to cultural activities across Wakefield for D/deaf, disabled, and neurodiverse creatives, audiences, and participants.
We're holding this session before the deadline for Round 2 of applications (Monday 18 July), so come along to find out more and ask any questions.
