Wakefield Ghost Walk: True Tales, Haunted Places, and Hidden Histories

Join The Curator for a chilling evening of real ghost stories and historic horrors on the Wakefield Ghost Walk.

We begin inside The Black Horse (Westgate) at 6:30pm, where you’ll enjoy a slice of pizza (included) and hear your first tale in the cosy glow of this famously haunted pub.

At 7:00pm sharp, we set off on foot through Wakefield’s darker corners — from grim folklore tales to spectral sightings — returning just after 8:30pm.

Along the way, you’ll even go inside one of Wakefield’s oldest and most paranormally active buildings, where whispers of the past linger in every room.

Whether you’re a curious sceptic or a ghost story enthusiast, this unique walk is packed with atmosphere, history, and surprises.

Recommended age: 12+ (under 16s must be with an adult).
Meeting point: Inside The Black Horse, Westgate, from 6:30pm.
The walk starts promptly at 7pm and returns just after 8:30pm.
Includes one slice of pizza at the start of the walk.
Please dress for the weather — the walk is mainly outdoors and runs rain or shine.
Wear sensible footwear — the route includes cobbles, uneven paving, and low lighting.
