About this event

Family & Education • Education

Waldorf Cambridge is an international Steiner Waldorf School for pupils from 2 to 16 years. We are based in a rural location on the outskirts of the beautiful city of Cambridge in the UK – an hour from London, within easy reach of Cambridge train station, and well connected by bus and road.

Our kindergarten curriculum provides many opportunities for creativity in play and artistic activities, singing, baking, movement, puppet stories and lots of outdoor time. In this way, our children’s curiosity, creative thinking, self-confidence, compassion, and joy for learning are supported and nourished.

Our school is screen-free up to 12 years and offers a broad, imaginative and academically rigorous education that fosters social, emotional and intellectual development. We value academic and creative interests equally and offer an education which supports the development of the whole person. Our unique combination of qualifications enables our students to progress into any area of further study.

We offer the following GCSEs to enable a clear route to A-levels and further study in these subjects: English Language, English Literature, Combined Sciences (all three sciences, 2 GCSE grades) and Mathematics

Along with the core GCSEs, we also offer the Integrated Education (IE) Level 2 Diploma, which is an Ofqual registered award. It focuses on collaborative and individual project work and problem solving in transdisciplinary topics. This portfolio based approach decreases the level of exam pressure and also enables students to receive accreditation for their Steiner-Waldorf curriculum lessons.
