Description

Inspired by the round, pre-fabricated flying saucer-shaped house designed by Matti Suuronenn in the late 1960s, Guardian Live and purveyors of the unusual Hendrick's Gin are delighted to present the Experimental Research Laboratory for Chapter Three/FUTURO, the next instalment of the Waldorf Project's genre-defining immersive experience.

With just six performances over three nights, artist Sean Rogg and seven of the most pioneering practitioners in the worlds of visual art, gastronomy, fashion design, set design, product design, mixology, choreography and electronic music will come together to create an immersive dining experience like no other – uniting the senses through drink, scent, food, movement, sound, light and the environment.

In a private underground tunnel and opening the Kings Cross Festival of Perception, expect to have your mind enlarged to the fanciful and phenomenal possibilities envisaged by preceding generations, before worldly pressures took over and stifled such thinking. Taking a further stride into artist Sean Rogg’s exploration of consumption as more than a mere physical function, but as medium to absorb art through all the senses, you will leave this five phase exploration of art, gastronomy, movement, sound and colour feeling inspired, inquisitive and enlightened.

Demand is expected to be high following the sell-out of Chapter Two/COLOUR, held earlier this year, and early booking is recommended.

The event includes a delicious Hendrick's cocktail reception and a five course liquid dining experience.

About The Waldorf Project

The Waldorf Project is an immersive experience on a grand stage in which art is consumed through all of the senses. Created and directed by artist Sean Rogg and running over a number of instalments over several years (Chapter One/MUSKMELON and Chapter Two/COLOUR have been completed), the next deployment – a fully developed exploration of Chapter Three/FUTURO – will take place in early 2016.
