The Wales Arts Review, in association with Literature Wales, presents its biennial Critics' Roundtable at the Wales Millennium Centre on November 1st 2014.
The latest developments in Welsh literature, pop music, theatre, opera production and arts criticism will be discussed by seven lively panels featuring critics, writers, artists and arts leaders from across Wales. Panellists include: novelist Dai Smith, Nia Davies Editor of Poetry Wales, Dylan Thomas prize-winner Rachel Trezise, Rian Evans of The Guardian, award-winning Irish writer Colin Barrett, playwright and director Simon Harris, Michael McCarthy of Music Theatre Wales and many more.
The event will incorporate the launch of the Wales Arts Review print publication of its Fiction Map of Wales anthology of short fiction, featuring readings from award-winning Welsh writers including Robert Minhinnick, Cynan Jones and Kate Hamer.
The Critics' Roundtable will climax with a drinks reception and ceremony at which the acclaimed actress Sian Phillips will present an award to the winner of the Greatest Welsh Novel online vote.
This event will be a great meeting place for arts enthusiasts, arts professionals and lovers of Welsh literature. Tickets are free of charge but limited in number, so please do not reserve a ticket unless you are sure to attend.
Attendees should register at the main desk in the WMC foyer before going to the Victor Salvin Room, where this event will begin.
Refreshments will be provided for ticket-holders.
