Description
The Wales Games Development Show is back for it's third year.
The event will offer two exhibition rooms featuring Welsh games companies, student work and support organisations, industry presentations from console and mobile creators, hands-on workshops, celebratory awards, one to one surgeries, networking and more.
Last year the Show was attended by 555 people and had 34 exhibitors.
Friday 11 July from 09.30-20.00
As last year, this year’s Wales Games Development Show will have two exhibition halls where exhciting exhibitors will show off their latest projects.
Highlights of the day will include workshops and masterclasses with:
Gary Napper, Lead Designer on Alien:Isolation
Mike Bithell, creator of Thomas Was Alone and Volume
UK Interactive Entertainment
Manesh Mistry from Ustwo - creators of Monument Valley
Mitu Khandaker-Kokoris - The Tiniest Shark will present the BAFTA Cymru Keynote 2014
and other leading industry guest speakers like Ralph Ferneyhough (LEGO/Travellers Tales), Anton Faulconbridge (RANT Media), Michelle Ducker (Media Molecule) and more...

The presentation of the British Academy Cymru Awards for Games will round off the day in style.
The Awards, which will also be hosted at the iconic Wales Millennium Centre, will announce the BAFTA in Wales Award for Best Game and 4 commendations offered for Artistic Achievement, Technical Achievement, Sound & Music and Games Design.
GamesDev South Wales and GamesDev North Wales will be hosting an after-show drinks shindig at Terra Nova after the Awards.
The Show is going to be one of the highlights during the Digital Innovation Week Wales event - this is a week-long programme which celebrates and explores the major digital opportunities for the creative industries sector in Wales.
Wales Games Development Show event is being supported by the Welsh Government and Creative Europe. Sponsors include University of South Wales, Buzz Magazine and Unity.
