Walk in their Shoes
How to improve performance through employee engagement
The SLH Group is celebrating after reaching the number one spot in the elite ‘Sunday Times 100 Best Not-for-Profit Organisations to Work For’ list for the second year running.
South Liverpool Homes is a community benefit society registered with and regulated by the HCA, a government agency that regulates all housing providers in England and new affordable housing. The HCA’s aim is to work with landlords and tenants to ensure tenants are receiving the best possible service. The primary activity of South Liverpool Homes is housing and property management. We currently mange over 3600 homes.
Their mission is to make South Liverpool the place to be. To achieve this we are helping to transform South Liverpool through major investment, pioneering partnerships and by placing the community at the heart of everything they do.
To help them achieve their mission they have created a set of corporate aims called our Everys. They have created these by understanding what their customers, stakeholders and colleagues need. They are the focus of all their activity:
- 1. Every customer happy
- 2. Every place perfect
- 3. Every opportunity taken
- 4. Every penny counts
- 5. Every person positive
SLH is about more than just bricks and mortar. They are creating places people want to live by tackling anti-social behaviour, building skills and opportunities and finding innovative ways of involving people in their local community.
Speaker: Julie Fadden South Liverpool Homes Group

She is a truly inspirational speaker who ‘walks the talk’ and demonstrates this as she discusses how she’s made some difficult decisions, yet has been able to steer a clear course where the residents and the employees are at the forefront of her decision-making
Julie has been elected as the new vice president of the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) after winning a members vote earlier this month.
