Join us for a journey into the beautiful and magical world of wildflowers. You'll enjoy a summer afternoon stroll in a small friendly group.

About this event

Did you know that Lady's Bedstraw was often chosen as bedding, as it is soft and springy and has a pleasant scent? Or that Meadow Cranesbill is so-named because its seed pods look like a bird's bill? And that one of Clover's local names is 'bee bread'?

We'll stroll and explore local Meadows together - across Millennium Fields, and around Fulford Ings. Both areas dramatically spring into wildflower life and colour during the summer months.

It's a lovely green route. You'll also enjoy birdsong, butterflies, views of the river and (hopefully) the elusive tansy beetle.

Come along!
