Description

Walk one of London's hidden rivers and learn about its history and ecology for London Rivers Week!

Expert guide is David Fathers, author of London’s Hidden Rivers.

Meet at 10am in Hampstead to join the full 10k walk.

OR meet at 1.45pm at Kings Cross Station to walk approx. 4km from here to the endpoint. Specify starting point when you register.

Walk will include the Vale of Health, Hampstead Heath, Kentish Town, Camden, Kings Cross and Clerkenwell, ending at Blackfriars Bridge. Walk is approx 10km, walked at a reasonable pace to cover the full length of the river. Wear sturdy shoes and clothes suitable for the weather. Bring drinking water and packed lunch OR buy lunch from market stall at Kings Cross. Gradient varied, may be muddy/slippery. Some steep steps.

Walk ends at Blackfriars Bridge (nearest tube Blackfriars) or stay for a drink at the Black Friar pub!
