Description

WALK & TALK - IDENTIFYING NATURALISED PLANT SPECIES WITH EMMA GUNN AND REBECA CHESNEY

WED 29 MAY, 10.30 to 12.30, Newlyn Art Gallery

Emma Gunn is an expert forager based in Cornwall. She works at the Eden Project as Seasonal Displays Supervisor, where she creates show gardens, seasonal plant-based exhibits, and does floristry. She has been there for 20 years after studying garden design. She has a passion for plants with a use, which includes edible and medicinal plants, as well as aesthetics.

During this walk, Emma will share her knowledge and enthusiasm for plant identification and foraging, with a focus on coastal plants and seaweeds, giving participants the confidence to explore the particular flavours that are available on our doorstep.

As part of this walk the gallery provides a picnic box for all participants.

Places limited.
