#MandelaMile offers a unique opportunity for people around the world to accept Madiba’s challenge to ‘be the legacy’ and to demonstrate this by taking their symbolic first step in the Long Walk to Freedom. it is the climax of the year-long #Walktogether campaign to spark hope in the world, set up by The Elders in the lead up to Nelson Mandela’s Centenary. The campaign celebrates grassroots organisations working around the world for Peace, Health, Justice and Equality –the ‘Sparks of Hope’.
