Walk the Welton Wander and finish at Dick Turpins downfall
Tue 9 May 2017, 10:30 – 14:00 BST
Here is a great walk as part of the “Enjoy Spring in the Yorkshire Wolds” Campaign.
Enjoy a short 4 mile circular walk from Welton village, along some of the first dry valleys of the Yorkshire Wolds Way. There is plenty of good woodland walking to enjoy on this wander, before finishing with some great views across the River Humber. We end the walk by calling in at The Green Dragon in Welton for lunch and a drink. Famously, this is where the notorious Highwayman Dick Turpin was finally arrested.
This is a fairly easy going walk.
This walk is led by Malcolm Hodgson, the National Trail Officer for the Yorkshire Wolds Way
Meet near The Green Dragon pub at 10.30am
Please bring money for lunch and drink
Dogs welcome on walk on a short lead and in bar area of pub
