Walk with me
Overview
Walk with me: Be equipped to offer post-abortion support to those in need
Date: Tuesday 24th February 2026
Time: 7:00pm – 9:00pm
Location: Online (Zoom)
Abortion affects more people than we think - and many are silently carrying pain, grief, or regret.
This evening session is for anyone with a heart to support others - friends, family, small group leaders, mentors, or those who’ve walked the journey themselves. We’ll create a compassionate space to learn how to respond when someone opens up about abortion and how to walk with them toward hope and healing.
Delegates will explore:
- What post-abortion grief can look like, and how it may show up.
- The kind of language and posture that helps people feel safe and seen.
- Practical next steps: listening well, knowing when to signpost, and offering ongoing support.
- How the Church can become a place of healing and welcome.
This is an event organised by Open, an initiative of CARE. For more information please visit weareopen.org.uk or care.org.uk.
