Walk Write Blether invites people to come together to walk and write.
As we’re entering the colder, darker months
We begin to feel ourselves turn inward. The season of reflection and contemplation.
We feel our bodies experience the change in season, for our senses get used to the shorter hours and longer nights.
Bringing together walking and writing, we aim for this series of workshops to explore walking as creativity which inspires great writing and great thinking.
Each workshop will be a guided walk, in selected location, with selected reading material to encourage people to engage with the environment around them. Coming together to explore, discuss and blether.
So often our local green spaces can provide such great inspiration, so let's get out there, together and write.
Do bring a long a notebook, pen/pencil (we will bring spare in case anyone forgets!).

11:00 - 12:30
Langside Hall, G41 2QR
The first session will commence on Saturday15th November, starting at Langside Hall. We will then make our way into Queens Park, finding a quiet space to walk and write.
Clothing: Please do come prepared for being in the outdoors, warm attire (jacket, hat and gloves), good comfortable shoes to walk in. Additionally, bring water/juice and something to snack on.
Weather: Considering the cold weather, we aim for the workshop to run no longer than an hour. We may also find an indoor space as an alternative to outdoors (be sure to perform the no-rain dance before you leave!).
We will check-in about the weather the day before the event—so please keep an eye on our social media for updates.
Access: Glasgow's Queens Park has many paved routes with steep sections but no steps. We will come off paved routes at some points to walk further into the woodland. There are benches and places to sit. Amenities can be accessed in the area, on Victoria Road and / Kilmarnock Road.
