A gentle hour-long walk. After a few minutes we will stop and everyone will have the opportunity to say a few words to introduce themselves. Then we carry on. We will cover a distance of around 3km.

6:00 PM - 7:00 PM

Drink

After the Walkabout, we make our way to a local bar or pub for a drink. Walkabout is free and open to all. Please don't feel you have to buy drinks for others, and there is no pressure or expectation...

Who is this for?

All are welcome. We started in 2023 with a desire to make it easier for more people to meet more people. Walking is a healthy, free and inclusive way to do this.

Do I have to be a keen "networker"?

No. Everyone has the opportunity to say a few words if they want to, but it's OK to say little or nothing. Walking is a great way to meet people without having to have an agenda.

What kinds of people will I meet?

Each Walkabout is different. There will be some regulars and many new people too. Walkabouts are popular with entrepreneurs, technologists, engineers, communicators, academics, policymakers, creatives, artists, designers, recruiters, medics, firefighters, veterans, consultants and investors.

Are pets welcome?

Yes. Though please be considerate of other Walkabouters.
