Walkie Talkie Wednesdays, its networking with a heatlhy twist.

Join us on the first Wednesday of each month for a walk of around Bradgate Park where you’ll get to meet new contacts and develop business relationships. You’ll also get the opportunity to learn more about the park from a member of Bradgate Park’s team. For an idea of the typical route we take click below

After the walk you will have the opportunity to continue informal networking in the Park’s café.  Here, you'll have the chance to purchase their delicious refreshments.

Please arrive at 8:15am ready for an 8:30am start meeting in the car park at the Newtown Linford entrance. We recommend footwear suitable for unsurfaced footpaths with some uneven surfaces, and please bring attire to suit all weather conditions. Dont forget to bring enough change for the car park (£3.50 as of December 2015)

In the event of exceptionally poor weather the event will remain inside, however a decision to proceed with the walk will be made on the day.

For more information  please contact Andrew Harris on 07816 681 281.

Walkie Talkie Wednesdays are delivered in partnership by The Fit for Work Team, Charnwood Borough Council’s Sport and Active Recreation team and Dalycom business communications.

Andrew Harris- The Fit for Work Team (Healthy Workplace Programme)

More and more responsible employers are adopting a proactive approach to staff wellbeing. Research shows physical activity helps reduce stress levels, increase motivation, improve general physical health and reduce absenteeism.

Leicestershire County Council has commissioned and fully endorsed a unique Healthy Workplaces scheme exclusively for local employers of up to 250 staff.

The scheme, worth £4000, helps organisations to identify and prioritise how they can support the health and wellbeing of their staff and in turn save their business money.

The *fully funded scheme is delivered by The Fit for Work Team in Leicester who work closely with you to create a bespoke workplace health and wellbeing programme based on the findings of a staff survey.
