About this event

Travel & Outdoor • Hiking

Join walk leader, Colin Bradshaw for the shortest history walk we offer. In less than 500 footsteps you will be taken from the 20C back to the 16C. Incredibly we will range from drunks to members of the Temperance movement; from Dick Turpin to James Elwell; from a gentleman’s club to evacuee children. And that is only a tiny taste of what you will encounter. On arrival at the Guildhall you will be given a conducted tour, of one of the most fascinating buildings in Yorkshire, by the curators. Meet outside the entrance to the Champney Treasure House.
