About this event

Dementia inclusion training for walking football clubs (pilot)

This training is for clubs running or hoping to run walking football sessions. The aim is to enable you to run the sessions in a way which is inclusive of people with dementia – at the same time as being fun and fulfilling for everyone else too. This session is the pilot of our brand new training, developed with the collaboration of Walking Football Scotland, and we invite you to come and take part and share your thoughts, ideas and feedback with us afterwards.

We will be using Zoom for the workshop which means you will need a laptop or tablet which has access to the internet and a functioning microphone and speakers. If you’re unfamiliar with using Zoom we would be happy give you an opportunity to connect in advance of any of the workshop and will send out full instructions and links closer to the course date. We’ve been running our Dementia Awareness workshops using this new way of working and the feedback we’ve had so far has indicated that this has been successful and attendees have appreciated the opportunity to continue learning while we are all unable to meet in person.

Places are limited to 16, the session is free and will take place via video conference and the joining instructions will be sent to you in advance of the session.
