Event description
A walk that explains how a riverside hamlet became a city

About this Event

From its medieval beginnings to the complex 21st century city, Leeds has grown and been reshaped as a result of many different forces of change. So many people have been attracted to Leeds – for trade, for industry, for cultural opportunities and for study. New buildings have always had to be fitted within the existing urban fabric. Redundant spaces and places have been reworked and more housing and commercial buildings have been added to the outer edges of the built-up area.

Are you interested in finding out about how this city came to be the way it is today?

If so, join me for a walking tour to learn how the city has been shaped over the centuries.

Limited to 15 tickets

Meet by Leeds Minster (parish church) - north door, at the foot of the tower
