About this event

A guided walk through Old Mollington looking at features that are still visible today.

Starting at the modern school, we will visit the adjacent farmhouse, the former school - now a preschool, then the site of the first school.

We then move up Well Lane, viewing the old Dower House, North Lodge, 18th century cottages, old Mollington Hall Estate wall and site of demolished Mollington Hall. We turn into Townfield Lane and view the Mollington Hall chauffeur’s cottage, cobbled stable yard and remains of Mollington Hall.

We follow the path to rejoin Well Lane and return to the School Car Park. During the walk we will have seen a 16C cheese press, cottages with external features denoting the Mollington Hall or Davies Family ownership and other notable features.

Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear.
