Walking Tour of the Quarr Abbey Ruins - 1.5 miles

The walk will start at the abbey church, stopping at the hide with a chance to spot a red squirrel, and on through to the wooded walk and down to the ruins. Enjoy a guided tour around the ruins and surrounding countryside.

Length of walk: 1.5 miles (approx 1 hour)

Walk Cost: Voluntary donation requested (but not obligatory) through the Quarr Abbey Website: quarrabbey.org (go to support page) or contactless or cash donations on the day.

Type of Walk: Linear

Start Location: By the green gates to the right of the abbey church.

Finish Location: The abbey ruins.

Pace of Walk: Gentle - This walk will follow a gentle pace.

Walk grade: Fairly Easy - Gentle, rolling landscape, walking on paths with good to average surfaces. Some walking on gentle inclines, some stiles or steps to be expected en route.

Mobility level: Suitable for a person with sufficient mobility to climb a flight of steps but would benefit from fixtures and fittings to aid balance.
