About this event

Enjoy an afternoon looking at the domestic architecture of 19th century Islington.

During the 19th Century the farmland of Barnsbury gave way to a succession of building schemes that created some of the worlds first suburbs. This two hour walk looks at some of the elegant squares created and looks at the people who lived in them.

Review of this walk

"Our guide Rob was really great and we loved the six squares of islington walk - brilliant Thursday evening activity and we saw our local area, where we've lived for many years, in a whole new light. Good balance of factual and entertaining stories. I've been on many London walks and would definitely use this walks organisation again." C.C
