About this event

Join us for a sociable, gentle walk to improve health and makes friends. Meet at 1pm at the main gates to the park on Kingswood high street.

Monthly schedule:

First Tuesday: gentle walk round the park with a game of croquet.

Second Tuesday: guided walk round the park with a member of the park maintenance team who will talk about seasonal upkeep, activites to improve and promote wildlife and biodiversity, and identification of plants and trees.

Third Tuesday: walk through the park and out to one of the local public green spaces, for example Cock Road Ridge, Hanham Mount, Grimsbury Farm. The walk will be 2 to 3 miles.

Fourth Tuesday: gentle walk round the park, finishing with a game of bowls.

Refreshments are provided at the end of each session so that everyone can sit and chat for a while.

During the summer months, we will visit the new community garden space for a cream tea at 2.30pm. During the cooler winter months, we will take refreshments in the wellbeing rooms at Trinity Gardens next to the park. Sessions will run until mid-December and start again in mid-January.

If there is heavy rain or bad weather, the session will be cancelled. Please check the Friends of Kingswood Park Facebook page for notification of cancellations.
