Walking With Nature (Barrhead to the Dams to Darnley Country Park)

Meet outside the Hub cafe just off of the Parkhouse Road in the Cowan Park, Barrhead, East Renfrewshire, Scotland.

The carpark and road may be busy, other parking is available near to the Levern Walkway entrance off Carlibar Road and near to the Millview Nursing Home. From here, cross both Glasgow Road and Darnley Road at the traffic lights for safety.

The walk takes between 2-3 hours, and is a circular walk with some inclines. It may be muddy in parts, so walking boots and waterproof clothing is advised.

The walk takes in Barrhead Waterworks and walking along the Levern River, as well as the Dams to Darnley Mill Trail.

Wildlife to spot are birds, deer, squirrels and ducks.
