About this event

Where: Walkmill Community Woodland, Moresby Parks, near Whitehaven. Meet at the small car park on the Moresby to Frizington road.

When: Thursday 28th August, 9.30am-11.30am

What: Come and explore the biodiversity of Walkmill Community Woodland in this fun and educational Bioblitz event! Whether you're a nature enthusiast or just curious, this is a great opportunity to learn and contribute to local wildlife records. We will provide ID charts and books but feel free to bring your own resources including binoculars. We recommend downloading the iNauralist app beforehand. Instructions will be emailed and we'll also explain how to use it during the event.

This event is free & suitable for all abilities

Please ensure you wear clothing and footwear suitable for the weather and for an outdoor setting. Wellies are advised. Booking is essential. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.

Safety

Safety statement - All events have been risk assessed and a safety briefing will be given at the start of the event. All events will be led by a WCRT staff member and in some cases an external. WCRT hold public liability insurance.

Your statement of participation - You, as the participant, understand that the activity can involve an element of risk of injury. You agree to take responsibility for your own actions and those for whom you have responsibility & will observe the safety instructions and guidance given by the WCRT staff. All bookings are made on the basis that participants will observe the safety instructions given by the WCRT staff member. Participants must agree to share any relevant information that will help the staff member to look after everyone’s safety.

Photo statement - we will take photos during the event, please let us know if you don’t consent to photos being taken.
