Welcome to Freshwalks, bringing business people together through the simple combination of walking and talking. For our latest event in our Walks for Women+ series, we're heading back to Marple. This route is a perfect entry level walk for Freshwalkers of all abilities and those with limited time to join us.
We intend to start the walk from Marple train station at 10.45. You can join us by public transport by taking the 10.19 train from Manchester Piccadilly due to arrive at Marple 10.43.
Our route sees us heading south out of Marple along the Peak Forest Canal where we'll enjoy the increasingly semi-rural waterside surroundings at a gentle pace. After about an hour, we leave the canal and head in the direction of Strines before following the river back into Marple Bridge via the Roman Lakes. We should arrive back around 13.15 where we'll head to a suitable cafe or pub for refreshments and some optional lunch.
Don't forget, you will need to wear some comfortable walking shoes (or trainers if you'd prefer) and bring a bottle of water but we'll send out detailed information in the week before the walk.
This walk will be led by Katya Willems.
Hope you can join us.

How can I contact the organiser with any questions?
An event pack will be sent out at least 72 hours before the walk. This should answer most things but feel free to email michael@freshwalks.co.uk with any questions you may have. If you've not received the pack by this time, check your email junk or spam and then contact us. Receiving this pack is essential as it includes important disclaimers and health and safety information.
What's the refund policy?

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No, you're fine as you are. We keep track of the attendees and check you off on arrival. However, if you have a confirmation email saved onto your phone, this may be useful on the rare occasion that there are any issues.
Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?
If you can no longer make it, please be sure to contact us with at least 24 hours notice. We try to be as accommodating as possible and understand that work commitments may pop up. Therefore, if you do need to transfer your ticket to a colleague, please contact us with their full details so we can organise the transfer in good time including the signing of the relevant legal disclaimers.
