  • Event lasts 3 hours 30 minutes

    In partnership with Walsall Council, Birmingham Mind are delivering a series of Mental Health and Suicide Prevention training courses for people living or working in Walsall.

    This is an ONLINE half-day course which is free to access. The course will;

    • Help you understand more about mental health and suicide in Walsall
    • Increase your skills and confidence in having conversations about mental health and suicide
    • Encourage you to engage with other services and networks in your community or workplace

    We limit the course to 16 people per session but will be delivering a range of courses over the year, both online and in person, so please contact us if you would like information on future dates.

    The course will be delivered by a training professional from Birmingham Mind, who deliver a range of mental health training to over 2,000 people every year in the West Midlands.

    Session date and time;

    The course will be delivered on Wednesday 11th September 2024 from 09:30 am - 13:00 pm (with a break included).

    Entry requirements:

    You must be over 18 and living or working in Walsall. This could include staff and leaders in local businesses, statutory, voluntary and community sector organisations.

    Content:

    This 3.5 hour course will give you;

    • Increased awareness of Mental Health.
    • Increased awareness of personal Wellbeing.
    • Increased awareness of key suicide prevention strategies & messaging.

    Once you register:

    You’ll receive an email confirmation with a welcome email also sent before the event with more information on the course.

    Access:

    The course is funded in partnership with Walsall Council, with no charge for you to attend.

    Venue:

    This course will be delivered ONLINE with a link sent out to you before the event. There will be future sessions delivered in person should this be more a preferred option.
