Description

Delivered in partnership with NELFT Perinatal and Infant Mental Health Service, this training day will provide expert information, practical advice and build skills for Waltham Forest health professionals and volunteers to

- improve early support for pregnant and postnatal women who are experiencing poor mental health

- prevent escalation of symptoms and improved recovery

- promote healthy, loving attachments between mothers and their babies

- raise community awareness and reduce stigma of perinatal mental health issues and the significance of postnatal depression on attachment

Who can attend?

This course is only open to people who work and volunteer in Waltham Forest. This event is aimed at Family Nurses, Infant Feeding support workers and volunteers, Children and Family Centre staff, childminders, Early Years workers, Local Authority staff including Early Help 0-19 staff, social workers, and community and voluntary sector staff.

Is this session free? Yes - there is no charge for attendees.

What time do I need to arrive? Registration and refreshments for the event will be provided from 9.15am, the event will start at 9.30am.

Off M11 onto A406; exit at Waterworks Roundabout Off A12 at Leytonstone at the Green Man junction.
