Sinfonia of Leeds

"The region's finest non-professional

orchestra... one of the most

remarkable in the country".

Musical Director

David Greed

Associate Musical Director

Anthony Kraus

Welcome to our 2017 / 2018 concert season, the orchestra's 45th. This year we present four great symphonies from the 19th and 20th centuries: Beethoven 3rd (Eroica), Shostakovich 9th, Sibelius 5th and Tchaikovsky 5th. We are delighted to welcome two wonderful soloists this year: Danny Driver, an internationally acclaimed pianist, to play Brahms' Second Piano Concerto, and Jessica Burroughs (Opera North cello section leader) who will play Walton's exotic concerto. In addition to our four concerts in Leeds, we will also be presenting a family concert at the King's Hall, Ilkley in July 2018. We look forward to seeing you at our concerts.

The brochure for the year can be downloaded from here.
