Event description

Description

Wanders for well-being are founded on the practice of Shinrin-yoku (Forest bathing). They are guided nature connection walks incorporating simple and creative invitations to enable you to relax and quieten your busy mind so you can receive the medicine and wisdom of the natural environment.

First we will gather and shake off the road dust. I will invite you to leave behind your burdens and responsibilities for the next couple of hours as we step into the timeless moment, savouring with all our senses the atmosphere of the woods or the gardens at Dartington. I will help you to awaken your senses and creative muse with a series of carefully crafted invitations culminating in a simple tea ceremony.

Our route will be no more than a mile, the terrain generally gentle and suitable for all levels of fitness.

This is not a hike or a nature walk where we identify species. It is an opportunity to be fully present in your senses, experiencing the forest from an authentic place of heart with the curiosity of a child.

I look forward to sharing this deeply relaxing and playful experience as you tune into the plant and animal world with the senses our ancestors used to thrive and survive.
