Walk at your own pace in your own social bubble, have a candle blessed, and a treat along the way for energy!
Location: Steinsel, Playground in the Forest.
Drive up rue de la Foret through the village; once out of the village, take the first road on your left, then the left hand fork. The playground should be on your left.
Date: Saturday 30 January 2021
Time: start your walk any time between 15:00 and 16:00
Cost: free
Registering for one ticket will give entry to one household or social bubble.
Detailed description
Do you know what’s behind Liichtmess? The Anglican Church of Luxembourg invites you to come Wandering and Wondering on this short family-friendly walk open to all. Half-way round you’ll see a short play performed by some of our youth group telling the story of Candlemas. At the end you can have a candle blessed, following the Candlemas tradition. Feel free to bring your Liichtmess lanterns.
Dress warmly: the whole event is outside!
Covid-safety: We will be complying with both the Luxembourg government and Church of England safety regulations. Please, therefore, bring a mask to wear and take responsibility for keeping a 2m distance from anyone not in your household / social bubble. The Anglican Church of Luxembourg is not responsible for the transmission of any infections during this activity.
